Grade 2 students were given an independent investigation project over the Christmas holidays in which they had to research an animal of their choice. Subsequent to selecting an animal, students were required to come up with three questions about their animal. There was an additional bonus question from the teacher and each pupil was tasked with illustrating their animal in its environment and completing an arts and crafts collage. Furthermore, students got to dress up as their animal when presenting fun facts they researched in books and online. Ultimately, students learned important skills in being independent learners and how to talk and present in front of others.
