The Grade 2/1 class began a new Math unit on telling time last month! They made paper-plate clocks and learned how to read the clock using the hour and minute hand. Further, the students practiced telling time to the nearest five minutes, along with using time “lingo” such as “half past” and “minutes before/after” the hour. They learned that there are many different ways to read a time.
