The Kindergarten at KPIS International School Bangkok recently celebrated Peace Day 2020. The theme for this year was “Shaping Peace Together.”The objectives of celebrating this day are to spread the message of peace, to engage students in various hands-on activities related to the message, and engage students’ hearts and minds through creativity. Everyone was dressed in white for the celebration.
The Peace Day activities were held in the morning. Students rotated and visited three activity stations:
Station One: Hand Prints- where students marked white handprints on the world poster. There was one world poster per grade level.
Station Two: Circles of Rock- Students prepared rocks during their homeroom time through the week and on Peace Day decorated the Peace Symbols with the same rocks.
Station Three: Storytime- Students listened to stories from Peace Day Books and also colored symbols.
It was a fun filled morning with lots of student engagement and learning.
