KPIS Funrun 2018

Welcome to KPIS International School 2nd Annual Family Fun Run! The event will be on Friday, 7th December 2018 from 7:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at Nawamin Pirom Park.

The event is organized for all of the KPIS community to help promote a healthy active lifestyle for our students, teachers, staff, parents and friends, as well as to raise funds for Gift of Happiness Foundation. We do hope that you will support us and help build a better community by supporting our fundraising project.

Gift of Happiness Foundation is a not-for-profit organization in Thailand founded on December 15th, 2009. The foundation has been a member of the League of Foundations of Thailand which is under the Royal patronage of His Majesty the King Rama IX in March 2010.  The Foundation’s mission is to serve individuals and families living in the poorest communities in Thailand. Gift of Happiness Foundation (GoHF) provides positive sustainable development through educational comedy show productions provided by world class professionals and trainee entertainers.  The charity also delivers educational materials, clothing, toys, medical supplies, toiletries and bedding to an average 2,000 needy people in Thailand, every month of the year.

The Fun Run is a school event and is considered a school day; therefore all students are expected to participate and take an active part in the run. We encourage as many parents and friends to join us in this event too. In the spirit of giving back to our community, we are asking that each participant is equipped with a Fun Run t-shirt designed by Mr. Paul Jerome Dela Pena, our ICT teacher. This can be obtained with a minimum donation of 400 baht, which will be given to support GoHF.

Food and drinks will be provided for all KPIS students.  The student council will organize refreshment stalls for families and friends to purchase food and drinks and some activities for our younger students to take part in.

The run will give our students a chance to compete, and there will be individual and house awards given to the top three positions in each age group. The distances are set according to age, and are outlined below. The more seriously competitive adults amongst us are invited to run in the 5km distance event, and prizes will be awarded for adults in this category. Less competitive adults are invited to participate in any of the other events, completing the distance at their own pace, and / or join in the official ‘Non-Competitive Adults Fun-Run’ (2 km), which will be the final event.

The school day will start and end at the park and we recommend that you meet us there.  However, if you are unable to go straight to Nawamin Pirom Park then you can complete the attached transport form and return it to your homeroom teacher. The school transport will be available for students only.

We would like to thank you in advance for your support and we look forward to seeing all our KPIS students, teachers, staff and as many parents and friends as possible taking part in this 2nd Annual Family Fun Run.
