This year, we celebrated Loy Krathong with the students at school and virtually. Teachers and students were encouraged to wear traditional Thai outfits to celebrate one of the most auspicious celebrations in the country.
The students in the Kindergarten made frozen krathongs with Kru Oui, leading the Thai study activity. The Pre-K2 classes were not on campus and celebrated virtually instead. A session was scheduled where Kru Oui met with the Pre-K2 students online.
During the activity block, Elementary students made Krathongs from dry banana leaves and learned how to fold lotus petals in Thai style on campus and virtually. Additionally, the Secondary School students made Krathongs using recycled materials on campus and virtually as well.
It was a successful Loy Krathong Day for everyone!
Thank you all for your support, and a special thanks to the KPIS Thai Department for organizing this event.
