Celebrating Alumni Achievements, here is what KPIS Alumnus, Achira Boonrath from the KPIS Class of 2018, has to say about his recent internship experience with Cathay Pacific Airways, “My name is Achira Boonrath; I am an aspiring 4th undergraduate Aerospace Engineering student studying at the University at Buffalo, SUNY. Over the past summer, I interned with Cathay Pacific Airways as an Aircraft Mechanic. Throughout the internship, I learned about hydraulic, electrical, fuel systems, etc., for Airbus aircrafts operated by Cathay Pacific Airways and performed line maintenance tasks on the Airbus A330 and A350 series of aircraft. The tasks included but were not limited to walk-around visual inspection checks after arrival and before departure, operating the refuel/defuel control panel during refueling, and start/shut down the APU for overnight maintenance. My education at KPIS International School in Bangkok gave me the academic knowledge and communication skills necessary to pursue higher education in Aerospace Engineering, which ultimately allowed me to intern at a company I had dreamt of working for since I was young. I want to thank KPIS for everything the school had taught me.”
