KPIS International School: Hour of Code

Hour of code is a one-hour coding challenge to foster coding skills. We conducted the hour of code as a part of computer science week during December 5-10, 2022. Our goal is to encourage students to learn something new, to spark their interest in computer programming, and to become makers, creators, or innovators.

STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) education begins with a foundation that the world around us is understandable and that it is governed by rules. KPIS science and math courses explore these fundamental rules so that students can appreciate the beauty and complexity of the natural world and can use this understanding to better themselves and the world in which we live. In technology courses, students learn how to use and adapt these rules to solve real-world problems and to be global citizens in an increasingly information-rich and technological world.

In Computer Science, students at KPIS International School Bangkok learn digital citizenship and computer science principles. By developing facility with technology, our students develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills that will last a lifetime. Our students are prepared to pursue further training and careers in specialized areas requiring computer skills and to engage with computer science as a medium for creativity, communication, problem-solving, and fun.
