Earlier this semester, our secondary school students engaged in the design process and designed and crafted their own intricate jewelry pieces in their jewelry course. It was an excellent opportunity for the students to apply their knowledge of jewelry design and creativity hands-on. The design process can be a rewarding and challenging experience for students, as it requires them to think critically, problem-solve, and use their technical skills to bring their ideas to reality. Crafting intricate jewelry pieces also requires a high level of attention to detail and patience, and the ability to work with small tools and materials. In addition to the technical skills they develop, students gain confidence and self-esteem by creating their own jewelry. Taking an idea from concept to completion can be a fulfilling and empowering experience, and the students at KPIS International School in Bangkok will likely take pride in their finished pieces.
