“Well-Rounded Student” is a term we hold on very dearly when planning our learning experiences. We believe that developing students emotionally, physically, and socially is critical for them in creating lifelong happiness, successful careers, and healthy relationships. That is why we integrate social emotional learning by using many tools, such as the Second Step Program, to provide an extra dimension to our students’ education.
These programs will support both our students and adults to thrive with empathy in school and in life, with good perspective-taking skills that can be taught and learned, starting in preschool and progressing all the way through life. Incorporating both character building and moral value lessons, the program helps our students develop into ethically responsible global citizens who respect and care for others. Ultimately, through a community approach, we deepen the sense of belonging to the Tusker community and beyond.
