Webster University visit to KPIS International School

secondary-career-class

This week, KPIS had the pleasure of hosting representatives from Webster University, Thailand’s only American university, on our campus on the 23rd and 24th of September! Our Grade 12 and Grade 11 students attended an interactive session in their high school career class which they discussed various majors offered by Webster University and the benefits of studying in an international environment of over 60 nationalities. Moreover, students were also introduced to Webster’s study abroad program in which students can transfer to any of Webster University’s campuses in 18 states and the District of Columbia in the United States of America, as well as Austria, China, Ghana, Greece, The Netherlands, Switzerland, and Uzbekistan. This seamless transfer means students can continue their courses with the same content and structure in a new country with a new professor, new classmates, new culture, and a change of view out their windows.

The talk was especially valuable as the representatives also shared their personal career journeys, experiences studying abroad, and built relationships with our students beyond just their current role with Webster. In the high school career class, students were also given advice on how to seek out financial support and visa extensions if they intend to settle in a foreign country, as they were assured: if there is a will, there is a way.

We thank Webster for this wonderful opportunity!
